Promises Made

Promises made from good intentions
Overcome by events
Not broken but not kept
What was meant and what was said
Had good evidence
Screening screaming seeming
Scheming not present
But a unique approach
If intent is expected to mean
As much as accomplished deeds
An accomplice needs no introduction
The jester is known
The truth unraveled
The promises made seem so true
The truth sounds like a lie

    1. This was about promises made that we have every intention of keeping, but through events or circumstance find ourselves unable to fulfill them.

Skrillex remixed the song, and Pinn Panelle covered it very well, but it’s Nero. I love this song!

          1. I’m not a dubstep, electro person or whatever they call them. But since I have to live in this world with people who love this sort of music, I try to keep up with them to the best of my abilities. But this was a song that I actually liked. And I remember I used to play this one and Nightcall by Kavinsky on a loop. πŸ™‚

              1. If I had to pick a genre it would be a tie between jazz and the blues. But I listen to a lot of pop and contemporary music as well. Like I said, got to keep up with what’s trending. Radiohead has been my favorite since I was 15. I’d love some suggestions from you. Maybe your favorites? πŸ™‚

                1. I love Radiohead! They’re one of my favorites. My favorite band is a Japanese band called the Gazette. I’m not sure you’d like them if you like jazz and blues, though. Hmmm… Oh, I know! Bebel Gilberto is great. Gretchen Parlato, Zero 7, St. Germain, maybe Fleet Foxes though they’re more folk. Tell me your favorites!

                  1. Hey I like Fleet Foxes too. The rest I’ll have to check on, sorted for tonight. πŸ˜„I’ve been listening to a lot of Florence And The Machine and Arctic Monkeys these days, but I like their older albums more than the recent ones. And Cage The Elephant too. All timers – Radiohead, Oasis, The Smith, RHCP and The Killers. 😁

                    1. I haven’t been really exploring new music like I’d want to these days. Whatever’s on the TV mostly which is usually the billboard crap. Some of the tracks that I’ve been listening to on and off these days — Ghosts- Laura Marling, Thirteen Thirtyfive – Dillon, Crazy – Ornette (The Remix), Are You With Me – Lost Frequencies and this one that I don’t quite know why I like but I can’t get it out of my head Don’t Be Shy – Imani.

                    2. Okay, here’s a list:
Dirty Projectors – Stillness Is The Move
                      Foals – My Number
Holy Ghost! – Hold My Breath
                      Jem – They
Two Door Cinema Club – What You Know
She Wants Revenge – Tear You Apart
                      Van She – Changes

Most of these I had never heard of until two days ago. I have 10 more I haven’t gotten around to listening to yet.
