The Buried Dark Places

I communicated in ciphers and metaphors to conceal true inner meaning from the masses
Even as I publicized the doorways and signposts printed in foreign languages for posterity
The maps to my inner spaces containing icons marked ‘you are here’ remain missing
The languages chosen are now dead
Translation futile, an inaccessible mystery
Forgotten, lost to everyone
No scholars remain to interpret the incomprehensible characters
Even my inner voice remains silent on the matter

  1. I find the best part of creating metaphors is finding your own deeper meaning while opening it for others to find theirs. Painting the pain into beauty unlocks so much, and then that inner voice finds more volume – space and loudness πŸ™‚ beautiful!
